Looking for things to see and do?
No worries!
There are plenty of activities to enjoy throughout the City of
Klamath Falls and Klamath County.
The area is home extraordinary birding, great hiking, plenty of
back country road biking,
and fine mountain biking and horseback riding. It's also a hunting
and
fishing paradise.
In addition to full day outings there plenty of activities for a
lazy afternoon:
Check out the birds along the Link River or Lake Ewauna trail.
Take a stroll, ride, or run on the OC&E Rails-to-Trails pathway
and its extensions.
Also make sure to check out the Events Page (link is on the left
margin) to see what special activities are on offer and what regular
sporting or artistic event you may want to take part in.
Stop by the Yacht Club and check into crewing on a boat (Wednesday
afternoons are especially good days because regularly scheduled
races are held).
If you're ready to fork at the cash for equipment ownership or
rentals, there are loads more adventures awaiting you. There
are Jet Boat rides on the Upper klamath Lake, guided canoe and
fishing trips (or you can do-it-yourself), various hunting seasons
offering a chance to take home game, or you can do some target
practice in the appropriate locations.
The area is alive with history and historical reenactment,
six-shooter gun clubs, and a plethora of artsy enterprises

Native American culture artifacts. The museum also has a fine gift shop with souveneirs and collectibles
of local interest. Historic Trolley rides through downtown Klamath Falls are available from the Museum during the
summer.

Baldwin Hotel Museum is a fascinating storehouse of Klamath
Falls' history.
The Baldwin provided more of a working man's hotel and residence
quarters when compared to the more upscale Pelican Hotel. But the
Pelican burned down long ago
and the Baldwin remains. Inside is an extraordinary and diverse
collection covering local movie houses, old fashioned musical
instruments, arts, and remnants of industries such as the town's old
creamery and logging history that have been obscured by the march of
time.
Located at the South West end of Main Street in downtown Klamath Falls
the Baldwin Hotel Museum is open during the summer months and is well
worth a visit. Call the Klamath County Museum at (541) 883-4208 for
more information.
