July

4The Annual 4th of July Celebration theme this year is "Crater Lake, Our National Pride."  Events will take place in Klamath Falls with the parade traveling down historic Main Street and the excitement will continue at Moore Park, with activity booths, food vendors and displays.  Fireworks will blast off over Klamath Lake around 9:30 or 10:00 p.m.  For more information call Klamath Falls Jaycee, George Aranz at 541-884-5214.

4-  The Annual Fourth of July Celebration, Parade and Car Show at Malin Park in Malin, Oregon. There will be a breakfast from 7:00-10:00, and the parade will start at 10:00.  Car show registration will be at 11:00 and show will be at 1:00.  Awards will be presented at 4:00.  There will be food booths, swap meet and much more for the family. 11-14-  The Horse &Carriage Society will have their annual "Driving in the Cascades Weekend".  Friday will be the group driving trek, Saturday will be performance drive and fun leisurely drive. 13-14-  The 30th Annual Chiloquin Rodeo to be held at the Chiloquin Rodeo grounds.  Friday night is a great tasting barbecue and is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 10 and under.  The parade will begin at 11:30 on Saturday.  Slack performances will be held at 9:00 am each morning, including a rough stock slack show.  The Jack Pot Rodeo will be at  1:30 on both days.  For more information call 541-783-3106 or 541-783-2315.

4-30The Klamath Art Association Gallery in Klamath Falls will hold a special membership show of work depicting Crater Lake and its history.  This event promises to be a major exhibit of local artist and photographers.  The opening reception will be on Sunday August 4th from 12:00-4:00 pm.  The gallery is located at 120 Riverside Dr. and is open Thursday through Sunday, 12:00-4:00 pm.
